What are you made of?
Jyotiṣa, or Jyotish, also known as “Vedic Astrology,” is a living tradition of astrology that has been practiced uninterrupted in the Indian subcontinent and surrounding Vedic cultures for thousands of years.
Since 2020 I have been studying jyotiṣa (also known as “Vedic Astrology”) intensively with Freedom Cole over at Science of Light. Our lineage is firmly rooted in the classical Śri Acyutānanda tradition from Odisha, India, which began to be taught to westerners by our lineage master, Pandit Sanjay Rath, several decades ago.
As a graduate of the first year program of Science of Light, I am authorized to offer in-training jyotiṣa consultations.
What can I expect in a jyotiṣa session? We’ll read your chart like it’s an x-ray of the causal forces that underpin your life. We’ll identify the themes and forces that have shaped you into who you are now and learning to work with them confidently and comfortably.
The goal is that you leave our time together with necessary information to achieve balance and success across the four limbs of life: purpose and calling, work and finances, relationships and pleasure, and spirituality and transformation. You will also leave our time together with an invitation to particular spiritual practices (adapted for your context) to help your life run more smoothly.
Specific topics we can explore together include:
- Your natural temperament, tendencies, and the shape of your character
- How your mind works and how to understand the way your energies naturally flow
- Areas in your life with great promise and strength, and how to activate them with spiritual practice
- Areas in your life that face difficulty and challenge, and how to remediate those challenges
- Current trends that are active in your life’s story and how to work with presenting energies
I offer these at the equitable rate of $108 for a 60-minute session. Sessions are recorded for your future use.
Jyotiṣa has changed my life, and it can change yours, too. Besides western horary astrology, I have yet to encounter personally an approach to astrology that is as vibrant, poignant, and precise as this tradition. I’m excited to work with you!
