What does a natal consultation involve?

Natal astrology is what most people think of when they hear “horoscope.” This type of astrology takes a “snapshot” of the celestial environment around you as indicative of the forces that will be at work throughout your life, both in your own subjective experience of your life story as well as in the objective unfolding of your fate. A natal consultation can cover:

• Character and Vocation: what type of person are you, and what is your purpose in this one wild life? What cloth are you cut from, and what challenges and opportunities does that present?
• Past and Future, both near and distant: What trajectories does your chart set up that you’ve already journeyed through, and which parts of the road have you yet to walk? Which of life’s cycles are corresponding to your present experience?
• Topical Matters: the usual culprits—careers, family life, daily work, romance, and finances, as well as anything else you can think of to bring to the table!

Natal astrology is predictive and can highlight opportunities and challenges that you will face. However, how you respond to the situations that life throws at you is entirely within your power, though some decisions will come with more ease than others.

What do I need in order to have a natal consultation?

I need three things in order to complete an effective natal consultation with you, and without any one of the three components, I’ll be shooting in the dark. I need your birth date, birth location, and exact birth time (as close as you can get within 30 minutes).

IMPORTANT: If you don’t have your birth data, but you would still like astrological insight on an emerging problem or to know more about what’s in store for you, I can answer such matters with a horary consultation.

How do I schedule a consultation?

For a natal consultation, please get in touch via my contact form. In your email, please include:

• Your birth date,
• Your birth location,
• Your birth time (as close as you can get),
• Preferred method of having the reading,
• Which particular areas you would especially like to address in the reading, and
• Times you’re available for your consultation for the next two weeks or so.

I have a fairly full schedule so at least 3-5 days’ notice is appreciated in order to give me enough time to prepare and to ensure I can accommodate your availability.

I offer readings via phone or Zoom video chat, which is a free software that allows me to record our session for you.

A natal astrology consultation is one hour and costs $95. That accounts for my prep time as well as the consultation itself.
